Ashley Spicer is a leading choreographer and dance instructor who brings 20 years of experience to her school of the Arts in Wayne NJ. IN 2019 ASHLEY'S ACADEMY WAS VOTED BEST DANCE DANCE SCHOOL IN WAYNE MAGAZINE. ALONG WITH Aloha Ashley VOTED BEST KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES. Holding a BFA in multicultural dance, Spicer creates innovative curriculums that support fine motor skill development for her students of all ages. Teaching toddlers to adults,Ashley has proficient skills and experience with: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Salsa, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Gymnastics, Stretch, Aerobic Instruction, Creative Movement, Pole Fitness & Cheerleading / Tumble. Taking her passion of movement and mixing in her understanding of childhood development, Ashley created FLYAROO Fitness, a program for preschool children to discover their own passion and love for staying active. Her main goal in all her business endeavors is to empower a new generation of kids and to channel their inner dancer by exploring how their body moves through targeted movements while most importantly instilling a love and appreciation for the arts. Ashley currently resides in Northern New Jersey. Beginning her formal training at Branchville Dance Center, then Generations of Dance and continuing on to Star Dance Academy under the teaching of Nanci Cruz Coe. Also studying Polynesian & Tahitian with Makalina located in NYC. Her Tristate entertainment company, "Aloha Ashley LLC" is a product of her love of Polynesian dance. Ashley's strong involvement in cheerleading growing up stirred up her passion for dance. A 2002 State Champion Cheerleader, competing in Disney's World Wide of Sports and continuing her knowledge with her own All Star Cheer Team in which she coached and choreographed in 2005-2006-2007 with her twin sisters. Under the Spicer's instruction the team went on to also become National Winners. Some of her other work includes choreographing the musical Grease, Sound of Music, and Beauty and the Beast. Ashley was a lead dancer and Choreographer for Slave Hall of Fame Benefit Concert for Hurricane Katrina performing at 'The City' in NYC. Ashley appears in Sinque Grier's music Video, She has also worked regularly as a Hawaiian & Tahitian Dancer at Waikiki Wally's NYC, as well as performing at the What's Next Concert in NYC; as she won a spot at the concert to backup dance for Sean Paul/Justin Timberlake. Appearing as an extra on the WB's Dawson's Creek and Christina Agulara's stripped in NYC video. Ashley has also received many awards and acknowledgement for both her dance and teaching. Receiving High Golds at Star Bound and Dance Arts Plus Competitions. She is a Miss NJ USA Finalist. Winner of the NJ State and Talent Showcase and Competiting in FOX'S Hit Show 'SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE' which aired May 2008. Making it to the top 3% out of 1400 people in Washington DC, has only made Ashley more determined to perform and continuing her education of dance. Spicer was recently featured as an expert on FOX's Good Day New York and in the November 2015 issue of Fitness magazine.Ashley is very enthused to share her knowledge with HER STAFF AND STUDENTS, and hopes you too will find a place for dance in your life.
